Isle of Wight Studio School – Duke of Edinburgh presentation

The presentation of the ‘Licenced Organisation’ plaque for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme was held on Tuesday 6th December at the Isle of Wight Studio School. Ally Griffiths, Operations Officer for the South East, presented the Award to three of the current Year 11 students who have recently returned from successfully completing the expedition for the Bronze Award. Danielle Evans, Brennan Smallcombe and Ethan Saxton are pictured. Headteacher, Richard White said, “the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme is a really important part of the school activity calendar with the vast majority of students taking part. Richard further suggested that plans for future groups included sailing, kayaking and potentially horse riding expeditions. One of the greatest assets we have on the island is the wonderful beautiful countryside and expanses of navigable water”.
