“Once again, I am so proud of our students for their efforts and the staff who have worked so hard to prepare them for these public examinations in such a relatively short time since joining us.
Following such a difficult summer for all those at and associated with the Studio School, the students have done really well. We have a host of incredible success stories and are delighted to see so many of our leavers set to pursue their dreams in the areas that they have chosen.
We place a significant emphasis on taking our students on the journey from being a child to readying them for the world of work and the many life skills that are needed to be successful. Achieving their best exam grades is obviously an important part of this and we recognise the transformation in many of our Studio School community. Excellent GCSE outcomes (Levels 9 – 4) were achieved by a good proportion of the year group including: Kaci Williams with 10 GCSEs; and the following all achieving 9 GCSEs: Willow Peace, Sianli Pelling, Louise Staley, Rowan Webb, Livvy White and Olivia Wilson. Particularly noteworthy are a number of our learners who have overcome various challenges to produce some remarkable outcomes – we salute you all.
Guiding and directing students toward their chosen career path is central to what we do. Once again we have 100% of our students going on to apprenticeships, as well as those continuing with further study at A level and vocational courses both on the island and in south coast institutions. We wish them all well in the future.”
